Golf Course by Location and Name

ARKANSAS

There is so much history in this part of the west, some of which we will touch upon during the course reviews.  To start... the early 1900s gave Spokane the honor of being the birthplace or originator of Father’s Day, which is now a national holiday.  It is also the childhood home to the incomparable Bing Crosby and location for the magnificent Gonzaga University.  And in the early 1970s, Spokane, Washington was awarded global respect. The site of the Great Northern Railway’s depot and clock tower, became the very first environmentally friendly Wold’s Fair - Expo ’74.  Many countries were invited to attend, including the, then, USSR - the first time since WWII they were included in an American fair.  Many of the structures used in Expo and housed within Riverfront Park remain in existence, and still being utilized. Golf in the Inland Northwest is very special, garnering some of the countries best, affordable city owned courses. Along with golf, there are several spectacular parks and other recreational opportunities. Spokane is a hidden gem!
