Packing tips
Clothes to pack for the course
*key is to get all of your clothes in one suitcase as cars and travel buses can be small.
Pants - 4 to 6 pair of golf pants
First layers (thermals, 1/4 zips, long sleeve shirt) - 5-6 first layers
Second layers (sweaters, hoodies, thin jackets) - 3-4 second layers
Rain Jacket and Pants - one set
Socks! Bring at least 12 pair!
Rain Hat - one will do!
Stocking hat - 1-2
Golf Shoes - two pair (one waterproof and one comfort)
Clothes for traveling, fun and fitness
*Comfy clothes for airline and car/bus travel
Sweatshirts and hoodies - 2-3 pieces for travel and spa
Joggers or other comfy pants - 1-2 pants
Leggings, yoga pants - 2-3 - for spa, fitness and for layering under golf pants
Tee shirts - 3-4 tees - these can also be used for layering
Tennis shoes or comfy shoes - extra pair of tennis shoes (pack in golf bag)
Jacket - mid-weight jacket
Sweater - 2-3 comfy to dress casual
Clothes for dinners
* Most dinners will be fairly casual, but there will be a couple of restaurants that might be nice to dress a little more elevated!
Jeans or casual pants - 2-3 pair
Sweaters, Blazers, Jackets 2-3
Shoes - 1-2 extra pairs of shoes other than tennis and golf shoes
Dress Attire - 1-2 “outfits” or evening attire
*Adare Manor, Dromoland, Park Hotel Kenmare - “dress attire” highly recommended
Miscellaneous pieces - socks, under garments (12-14 pair), bras (sports bras recommend for the golf course!)

Things to know about a trip to Ireland!
What is the currency? Ireland’s currency is the Euro (EUR). However, if you go to Northern Ireland, the currency is the Great Britain Pound (GBP). USD are seldomly accepted so plan accordingly!
Alternative methods of payment? Credit cards and Debit cards are widely accepted in Ireland. Please note that American Express might not be accepted at smaller businesses, pubs, etc. ATMs are everywhere so getting Euros is readily available and highly advisable for those smaller purchases.
What is the language in Ireland? English is widely spoken in Ireland. Be ready for some very interesting words and phrases!The native tongue is Gaelic.
What is the voltage in Ireland? Due to being 230 V, you will need a universal adapter. I highly advise finding one with a converter. Though most plugs will not need one, there might some that are a bit old school!
What is the time zone in Ireland? The island of Ireland uses Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), so set your watch when you land to make sure you're on Ireland time.
GMT is an absolute time reference and doesn't change with the seasons.
The time on the island of Ireland is the same as Greenwich Mean Time for less than half of the year.
During the summer it becomes GMT+1, that's Irish Standard Time (IST) in the Republic and British Summer Time (BST) in Northern Ireland.
BST and IST start from 01:00 GMT on the last Sunday of March until 01:00 GMT on the last Sunday of October.
Ireland is 5 hours ahead of New York (EST), 6 hours ahead of Chicago (CST), 7 hours ahead of Denver (PST), 8 hours ahead of Seattle(PST).

Best time to go to Ireland? High time for golf in Ireland is June - August. However late April and May, September to early October are wonderful shoulder months when the weather is still amazing!
What are the main airports in Ireland for direct flights: Dublin and Shannon. There are many other ariports that can be accessed via transfers from many main GB or European Hubs (ie: London, Munich, Frankfurt, Paris, Oslo, etc.).
