Day 1
Fly into Iceland’s Keflavik International Airport, arriving early morning. After clearing customs, you will be met by your driver who will take you 30 miles to the Reykjavik city center and the lovely Hotel Reykjavik Saga.
Reykjavik has a compact town center that is easy to get around on foot. Focus your attention on the charming town center, a world of design boutiques, art galleries, cool cafés and colorful houses, all rising to the iconic Hallgrimskirkja, Reykjavik’s utterly unmistakable church.
Note: Iceland’s weather is unpredictable. Even in summer, make sure to bring warm clothing, including a windproof outer layer (the windchill can be brutal) and a thermal underlayer. And since exploring is half the fun, bring hiking boots for trails and a bathing suit for Iceland’s famous geothermal pools.
After a quick unpack and freshening up, your next stop is a one-hour guided tour of Harpa, the architecturally amazing concert hall/convention center a short walk from the hotel, on the waterfront. The tour is followed by a 15-minute 4-D movie about Icelandic volcanos.
Lunch is at Kopar Restaurant on the waterfront. Your next stop is only a few minutes’ walk from Harpa. This is the most famous sculpture in Iceland, the Sólfarið or the Sun Voyager. Made of steel and resembling a Viking ship — although this was not the artist’s intention — the Sun Voyager is, according to its creator Jón Gunnar Árnason, an ode to the sun, a dreamboat symbolizing the promise of undiscovered territory, the dream of hope, progress, and freedom.
This is also one of the best spots for a picture in Reykjavík, with Mount Esja providing the perfect backdrop.
From the waterfront, you can pick up a Puffin tour..a one-hour boat ride around islands just outside the harbor where puffins nest and fill the skies. Bring a good camera for spectacular images of these iconic birds.
Return to the hotel and get ready for dinner at the amazing Forréttabarinn. Established in 2011, this is the culinary venture of Róbert Ólafsson, a seasoned chef with over three decades of experience in both Icelandic and international hotels and restaurants. The menu boasts an array of delectable offerings, creatively crafted in various shapes and sizes. French chef Olivier Grau leads the dedicated team of international chefs in the kitchen.

Day 2
After an exquisite breakfast buffet at the hotel, it’s time to lace up the golf shoes and head to your first course. Today’s round is at Oddur Golf Club, located in the municipality of Garðabær, on the outskirts of Reykjavík. It only takes 20 minutes to drive to Oddur Golf Club, from Reykjavik city center. The club operates two courses, Urriðavöllur, an 18-hole championship course and Ljúflingur, a 9-hole par 3 course. Urriðavöllur championship golf course is a challenging 5.900m, par 71.
Officially opened in 1997 it quickly established itself as one of the best courses in Iceland and is a regular venue on the Icelandic Amateur Tour. The golf course is a heathland course flanked by lava from the dormant volcano Búrfell. Oddur Golf Club was the perfect venue for the European Ladies Team Championship in 2016. After your round, enjoy overlooking the eighteenth green from the excellent clubhouse that features a bar and a restaurant.
Return to Reykjavik, prepare for dinner, and enjoy a quick cocktail in the hotel’s lovely bar. You can walk to tonight’s restaurant, Fish Markt.
