Favorite Par 3 – #16 – this hole offers a different kind of picturesque: relatively flat, with few obstacles, it allows you to focus on precision. The right side of the green features a striking drop-off to the fairway, adding a subtle but memorable challenge.
Favorite Par 4 – #2 – A par 4 like this at the start of the round sets the tone. Tight but fair, seemingly benign yet subtly demanding, it’s a classic opener that challenges while rewarding smart play.
Favorite Par 5 – #1 – Environmentally sensitive areas line the tee and the left side of the fairway, demanding careful placement off the tee. As an opening hole, it makes a strong statement. A sharp dogleg left turns this into a challenging two-shot hole, rewarding strategy over power.

Easiest Hole – #12 – Short on the scorecard and straightforward in design, this par 4 rewards smart play. A well-placed drive sets up a short approach, making a birdie very much within reach.
Hardest Hole – #6 – Sometimes it’s not about obstacles but sheer length—and the 6th hole at Newport National proves it. This hole is a true beast, testing every ounce of power and precision in your game.
