Favorite Par 3 – #14 – if Picasso had designed a golf course, the 14th would be his canvas
Favorite Par 4 – #15 – beautiful, challenging, an ideal par 4
Favorite Par 5 – #16 – three in a row – strategic and smart.
Favorite Hole Design – #14 – it is hard not to pick all three 14 -16 as it is a wondrous stretch of golf
Easiest Hole – #13 – a fun hole and one that when played right should give a good chance for a birdie
Hardest Hole – #12 – I rarely agree with the course handicapping, but this time I do.
Favorite Extra Sighting – Old Tom Morris statue, Sheephaven Bay
Favorite Après Golf – massage post round, walk on the beach, Singing Pub
Where to Stay – Rosapenna Golf Hotel (absolutely magnificent), Goose and Gander (for a pub experience)
Where to Eat – Rosapenna (Coach House Bar and Vardon Restaurant), Goose and Gander (have the pizza!), The Singing Pub (one of the oldest pubs in Ireland), Fisk (seafood)

Downings. A quaint Gaelic village and townland, or small geographical division of land, is the closest “town” near Rosapenna. It is on the 1600-mile trek along the Wild Atlantic Way that connects the north, west, and south coastal roads of Ireland. In fact, the six-mile Rosguill Peninsula is the start and finish of the trail. Rosguill lies between Sheephaven Bay and Mulroy Bay. The dunes that link the peninsula to the mainland are the home to Rosapenna Golf Links, and the Old Tom Morris Course.
Harry Vardon. James Braid. Harry Colt. Pat Ruddy, Sr., Old Tom Morris. What do all these men have in common? In addition to being on the short list of the greatest players and golf course designers of all time, they all had a hand in the wondrous first course at Rosapenna. But the original links were named after just one.
