Baker Hill Golf Club
Newbury, new hampshire
New Hampshire Golf at Its Finest
AMW Faves List
Favorite Par 3 – #5 – a slightly elevated green creates texture and drama to a relatively direct hole. Typical Jones par 3.
Favorite Par 4 – #12 – short par 4 that gives you ample opportunity of birdie. It is a fair hole but not without demand.
Favorite Par 5 – #11 – requires shot-making and accuracy. A perfect example of risk-reward for a par 5. Eagle or birdie is possible.
Favorite Hole Design – #15 – one of the only holes with water, this par 5 is unique, challenging, and fun.
Easiest Hole – #7 – short par 4 that is reachable for many players. There is less severe terrain than many of the other holes.
Hardest Hole – #11 – even though it is our favorite par 5, it is the hardest on the course. The green is well protected so any missed shots or for anyone with bravado, this can turn into bogey or more pretty quickly.
Favorite Extra Sighting – New Hampshire flora and fauna.
Favorite Apres Golf – taking the Cog Railway or hike up Mount Washington for views to the Presidentials.
Where to Stay – Pickering House Inn, The Inn at Thorn Hill, New London Inn, Twin Farms (VT), The Wentworth
Where to Eat – The Elms at New London Inn, Revival Kitchen and Bar, Alpine Tavern at the Wentworth
