Lake Winnipesaukee Golf Club
New Durham, new hampshire
Challenge and Beauty on the Shores of Lake Winnipesaukee
AMW Faves List
Favorite Par 3 – #15 – from a tee box high above the green, this is one of the most picturesque holes on the course.
Favorite Par 4 – #5 – risk-reward and beautifully crafted and designed hole that bends to the left requesting shot-making.
Favorite Par 5 – #7 – if Henry David Thoreau play golf, this would be his signature hole. Downhill, marsh defined, all beneath towering pines.
Favorite Hole Design – #16 – unique and beautiful, this hole has two tee boxes for two different types of holes.
Easiest Hole – #11 – from the tee, this par 3 looks arduous but if you just focus on the green, this is a sure par or birdie.
Hardest Hole – #17 – a big hole toward the finish and it takes everything you have in the bag.
Favorite Extra Sighting – wildflowers and loons, even the native grouse
Favorite Apres Golf – kayaking, hiking, or just a quiet walk.
Where to Stay – Pickering House Inn, Inn at Pleasant Lake, The Lake Estate on Winnisquam
Where to Eat – Bistro, Otis Restaurant, Vino e Vino, The Wicked Loon
