Favorite Par 3 – #2, #5, #15, #17 – they are all so good! Similar to the Old Head in Ireland, it is hard to choose one but if we had to it would be the #17.
Favorite Par 4 – #14 – overall fun hole that leads one into temptation.
Favorite Par 5 – #18 – the views alone, skirting along the lake, clubhouse in the distance, and then a brilliantly designed final hole. Fantastisch!
Favorite Hole Design – #15 – encourages focus but takes your mind to a different location and pastime. Just wait to go to the beach!
Easiest Hole – #2 – a fun and whimsical par 3 that just tickles your fancy.
Hardest Hole – #1 – a long and demanding hole to start the day.
Favorite Extra Sighting – the various birds throughout the course.
Favorite Après Golf – drinks on the patio at the club; walking the streets of Vienna.

Die Wiener Straatsoper. The Opera House Vienna. There is a rich, yet dark, history surrounding one of the most iconic venues for opera in the world. Designed by Viennese architect August Sicard von Sicardsburg and Eduard van Der Null, the Vienna Opera House opened on May 25, 1869. The guests, including the Emperor Franz Joseph and Empress Elisabeth, on that very special evening listened to Mozart’s Don Giovanni. Sounds of classical music and operatic tones and sights of vivid performances continued on for the next 70 years. Sadly, on March 12, 1945, during WWII, the Opera House was bombed, devastating the building. However, being so much a part of the culture of Vienna, after only six weeks, on May 1, 1945, the State Opera in the Volksoper opened with a performance of Mozart’s Le Nozzle di Figaro. Then, on October 6, 1945, the Theater an Der Wien reopened with Beethoven’s Fidelio. During the next 10 years, performances continued in the two locations, feeding the souls and hearts of all who visited. In 1955, the Vienna Opera House reopened to the delight of the world making it known that Austria had regained its independence. Music and performances once again filled the air of one of the most elegant cities in Europe.
