Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Ross Bridge
Hoover, Alabama
Towering Pines Loom Over the Trail
AMW Faves List
Favorite Par 3 – #6 – captivating par 3 that takes you over a gulley to a very large green.
Favorite Par 4 – #9 – brilliantly designed around a tranquil body of water. Shot-making is needed to bring this home in two.
Favorite Par 5 – #13 – A big hole from the back and a good hole from the front. Could this be a two-shotter? Beautiful backdrop behind the green make this a special par 5.
Favorite Hole Design – #17 – elegant, picturesque, stunning par 4 toward the end of the round.
Easiest Hole – #12 – straightforward with smaller amounts of obstacles.
Hardest Hole – #1- tight driving hole that leaves you a second shot over a testy body of water. Risk, reward? Maybe. But start the round off right.
Favorite Extra Sighting –bridgework around the course.
Favorite Apres Golf – relax by the pool at the Renaissance
Where to Stay – Renaissance Birmingham Ross Bridge Golf Resort and Spa, Elyton Hotel (Autograph), Grand Bohemian Mountain Brook
Where to Eat – The Clubhouse, Front Porch, Gallery & Garden, Oak House.
