The Links of North Dakota
Ray, North Dakota
Pure Links Golf Above Lake Sakakawea
AMW Faves List
Favorite Par 3 – #8 – downhill with views of Lake Sakakawea and the Missouri River, this short hole will steal your heart.
Favorite Par 4 – #12 – several wow factors come to mind on this brilliant par 4. Downhill and downwind to a green that is perfectly framed by Lake Sakakawea, a false front can fool you so beware!
Favorite Par 5 – #18 – another downwind beauty that gives you one last chance of birdie at the Links. Be mindful of the fairway bunkers about 75 yards from the green and the few that guard the green.
Favorite Hole Design – #15 – if a hole could describe the magic of North Dakota, this would be it. You must play it to understand it.
Easiest Hole – #9 – short and welcoming, this final hole on the front nine gives easy access to a birdie…just follow the lines!
Hardest Hole – #6 – just plain long and most of the time, into the wind. Play this as a possible “three-shotter” and rely on your short game.
Favorite Extra Sighting – the many views of Lake Sakakawea
Favorite Après Golf – walk around Lewis and Clark State Park
Where to Stay – Historic Hygge Hotel, Hampton Inn (Williston), VRBO/Air B&B
Where to Eat – Williston Brewing Company, Tavern at the Grand
