Course Review

TPC of Louisiana
Avondale, Louisiana
Built By Pros for the Amateur Golfer
AMW Faves List
Favorite Par 3 – #14 – one of the easier holes on the course and one of the most dramatic. All carry over a native waste area.
Favorite Par 4 – #4 – even though it is one of the more challenging holes on the course, the contours and textures overtake the hardship.
Favorite Par 5 – #18 – a fine finishing hole for a PGA Tour Player to the everyday golfer. Water is the spirit guide on this hole.
Favorite Hole Design – #17 – par 3 that incorporates sand and water. There is equal opportunity for an ace or a triple.
Easiest Hole – #8 – short in yardage but bold in visual aesthetics, this hole will tickle your fancy.
Hardest Hole – #15 – yardage gets the best of the golfer on this par 4. It is long and unforgiving.
Favorite Extra Sighting – bayou wildlife
Favorite Apres Golf – drive to New Orleans and have a coffee and beignet at Café de Monde.
Where to Stay – Hôtel Peter and Paul, The Columns, Hotel Henrietta, The Blackbird Hotel, The Eliza Jane, Hotel Monteleone, The Roosevelt New Orleans, The Old No. 77 Hotel & Chandlery
Where to Eat – Galatoire’s, Shaya, Kingfish, Antoines, Restaurant R’evolution, Brennan’s (bananas foster), Café de Monde (breakfast), Atchafalaya
