Squire Creek Country Club
Choudrant, Louisiana
Beyond the Natural Beauty is Championship Golf
AMW Faves List
Favorite Par 3 – #12 – just a stunning par 3 that showcase the best of Louisiana nature.
Favorite Par 4 – #15 – Beautifully articulated by Mr. Fazio — a perfect example of how a par-4 should present itself.
Favorite Par 5 – #11 – From the tee, the hole unfolds like an exquisite tapestry; from the fairway, that fabric finally stirs, its patterns revealing themselves with every step forward.
Favorite Hole Design – #16 – Framed by water and guarded by sand, the redan green on this par-3 forces exact club selection and a confident strike.
Easiest Hole – #5 – This short par-3 is entirely an all-carry tee shot over the hazards; its modest length makes a one-under (birdie) a realistic reward for precise club selection and execution.
Hardest Hole – #9 and #17 – Both holes present high difficulty. Their designs differ, but the level of demand is the same.
Favorite Extra Sighting – more of a feeling than a sighting – sense the small-town vibe.
Favorite Apres Golf – drive to New Orleans and walk the French Quarter
Where to Stay – The Remington (Shreveport), Hotel Klaus (Washington)
Where to Eat – Ponchatoulas, Soul Food Kitchen
