Mount Washington Resort
Bretton Woods, new hampshire
Golf at the Foot of the Presidentials
AMW Faves List
Favorite Par 3 – #14 – wonderfully designed par 3 that has a classic risk-reward styling. Beautiful views and meticulously manicured.
Favorite Par 4 – #13 – slight uphill to a brief dogleg to the left. The tee is narrow and the green is elevated. Become a mountain goat!
Favorite Par 5 – #11 – dramatic, challenging, strategic. From an elevated tee the views are sweeping and beautiful.
Favorite Hole Design – #13 – going back to the 13th as it is just a great hole. The set, the plot, the story.
Easiest Hole – #4 – a very short par 4 that gives you a chance to hit the green in one or a short iron in two.
Hardest Hole – #18 – a big par 4 lands at the final hole. A bit weary with legs lagging, water and sand can come into play.
Favorite Extra Sighting – the backdrop of the Presidential Mountains.
Favorite Apres Golf – taking the Cog Railway or hike up Mount Washington for views to the Presidentials.
Where to Stay – Omni Mount Washington Resort, Mountain View Grand Resort and Spa, Inn at Thorn Hill, The Notchland Inn, The Glen House, The Wentworth, Adair Country Inn
